Closest to our hearts and feets is the high velocity jit diamond ‘Pain’, riding Detroit’s lesser-heard but vital seam of 150bpm+ jit (jit sorta meaning “scally”, as does gabber in dutch) with strobing chords and a wickedly fucked-up stumbling kick drums as he, ahem, comes to climax in the final part – fucking genius, this – while the stark contrast of stripped down R&B keys and blazing vocal in garage house strutter ‘I Love Your Girlfriend’ is a close second.
