Returns for New Vinyl/Merchandise in-store:
Audiopile offers store credit or exchange for new products so long as the item is returned as purchased, ie. in NEW condition (unopened, unplayed) and with digital receipt and all original packaging (our price stickers must be included) within 21 days. We do not provide cash for returns. Returns cannot be made after the 21 days has been exceeded.
Returns for defective vinyl/merchandise on in-store purchases:
Audiopile offers exchange for defective merchandise but only for the same item. The defect will be inspected and assessed in-store, but if we cannot replicate the issue (ie. a warp that affects playback or a flaw in the disc that causes skipping or distortion) we may reject the return. All defective merchandise must be returned to the store within 21 days of purchase. Our digital receipt must be included. Audiopile does not offer returns or exchanges for items that do not satisfy your particular tastes (ie. you buy an record, cassette or CD and you do not like the music).
Returns for New Vinyl/Merchandise bought via our website, audiopile.ca:
Audiopile will gladly accept returns for defective vinyl/merchandise for a new copy of the returned item. However, returning the vinyl to us is your responsibility. We do not cover the shipping cost to return a defective item to us under any circumstance. The cost of shipping will not be included in any refund we may apply. Once we receive the defective item back in our possession, we’ll inspect and assess the defect. We may reject defective claims if the issue (ie. a skip or a warp that strongly affects playback) cannot be replicated on our various turntables/hardware in the shop. We must be notified of the defective item within 14 days of you receiving the item. In the case that a truly defective item cannot be replaced (ie an item that is limited edition or goes out print), we will issue a full refund upon receiving the item back in our possession. There may be cases where we can send a replacement disc or jacket for an item that we deem defective, though that is strictly on a case by case basis. There may also be cases where a supplier can credit us if we can supply them with evidence of a defective item. In those cases you may be entitled to a refund. Photographs or videos may be required before sending back defective items. Contact us at audiopilemusic [@] gmail.com before any item is returned. Returned items that we are not notified about will be rejected and considered void.
We reserve the right to refuse any return or exchange at our discretion.
Misrepresentation:
If Audiopile has accidentally misrepresented one of our items in a website listing, a return for credit may be proposed at our discretion. Please contact us audiopilemusic [@] gmail.com before returning such items.
Processing errors:
If an error has occurred in a customer order at the fault of Audiopile, we will accept the item back for a refund or credit. The customer must prove that we sent you the incorrect item with a photograph of the item before we consider a refund. However, if an error occurs at the fault of the customer ordering an incorrect item, Audiopile cannot be held responsible.
