Arriving in 1981, slightly over a year after their debut and following a change of personnel on keyboards, From The Lions Mouth was the second studio album from English post-punk outfit The Sound. Monolithically bleak in the same sort of vein as Joy Division’s Closer, it yielded the wonderful single ‘Sense Of Purpose’ but did little to boost the band’s profile, leaving them doomed to become one of the most underrated bands of the era.
