For his second mixtape release of the year, Flume has delved into his archives to unearth an eclectic collection of never-released-before tracks. Following February’s Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan, this new tape is called Arrived Anxious, Left Bored.
Similar to his last tape, the project spans music created over the past decade or so. On the 2015 song “n1cevib3,” Flume uses synth to create a beat that never quite drops but rather continuously builds.
And on 2020’s “Miss U” the DJ leans into his go-to production technique of manipulating and chopping high-pitched female vocals.
There aren’t any features on Arrived Anxious, Left Bored, though there are two collaborations with other producers. Flume links with Jim-E Stack on “Chalk 1.3.3” and Emile Haynie on “Habibi.”
