After some bangers for Mister Saturday Night and Opal Tapes and that ace remix of Four Tet, his TTT 12″ exhibits a more spacious, romantic side to his oeuvre. With ‘El Portal’ he bumps dusted house beats under lush, breathy pads beside the digidub slump and mellow, riffing keys of ‘Pueblo’ on the A-side, while ‘Busy Signal’ sustains the smoky vibe at rugged tilt on the B-side next to the sparkling dub chord vortex of ‘La Cuarta’. Great sleeve art and design by Will Bankhead as per usual as well.
