With a lineage that reaches back to Gerard Hanson’s Convextion & ERP projects and the flightier end of Drexciya, Piu has been a notable part of the low-key resurgence of techno artists who look fondly reference the originators while pushing the controls even further into deep space . Sitting in nicely alongside other purveyors of the galactic techno like Tim Jackiw and Derek Carr, Piu’s knack for ear-wormy melodies have sharpened even more so over his incredible run for Childhood Intelligence, immersing them in a floating mix of machine-funk workouts and starry chords that never fail to lift-off.
