Norm Talley’s Upstairs Asylum nears its 20th release with another dose of deep, understated house. Black Eyes leads the charge, opening with the laid-back, groove-laden “Gerry The Fish Whisperer,” followed by the raw, percussive drive of “Valley Of Sharks.” “Soul Fish” rides on dusty kicks and subtle shakers, while “The People Want Hydro” closes with swirling pads and dreamy textures that lock in both body and mind.
