Oil Can Harry’s was an integral gig venue in Vancouver from 1966-77 and hosted performancesand recording sessions by many great musicians. This live set, recorded back in August, 1975, is an excellent showcase of jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal in quintet format during the mid-1970s. Originally released on the prestigious Catalyst Records in ’76, the LP has long since been out ofprint and sees its first official vinyl re-issue in five decades by the Reel label. Carefully remastered recordings pressed on heavyweight black virgin vinyl.
