Eden Ahbez – a poet, composer and key architect of the hippie lifestyle who wrote ‘Nature Boy’ for Nat ‘King’ Cole in the Forties – recorded and released his solitary album ‘Eden’s Island’ in 1960 for the Del-Fi imprint. A significant release in terms of understanding exotica in music, it’s now remastered for its sixtieth anniversary courtesy of Grammy-nominated engineer Jessica Thompson.
