Marcio Vermelho and Ivana Wonder have an extensive CV of their own activities – we can use the term solid as a rock – with singles and remixes released over almost 4 years. But if you ever saw Vermelho Wonder live, you know that until now their best card was their stage action. Until now.

“Se Você” (“If You” in Portuguese) is a mysterious question that Ivana asks thousands of times for me, for you, and for everybody listening to this fine slice of electronic torch song that could be the record of the year in 77/87/97/07/27 or any time in between.

As an instant classic, the remixes inject air into the combustion. Zopelar turns the questions into a interrogatory with pierce synths and a – yet – heavier 4 AM vibe while Rotciv gives clues to Ivana’s doubts, but the shadow of a doubt, the centerpiece of the original, is still there.

If “Se Você’ isn’t enough, “Catman (Dub Version)” is a warning around the end of the night: we might be looking good today, but we’re fools. The classic house synths are a gentle reminder that we must watch out.

Vermelho Wonder was always a strong proposition, but this single is without any doubt one of the best of this year.
