International Noise Orchestra continue to get a thorough reappraisal from Emotional Rescue, the perfect vessel for such wayward 80s sounds. The global outlook of the German project continues apace with the wonderfully angular, Arabian-tinged take on ‘Come Together’. From Fairlight CMI sampledelia to wiggy synth, guitars and drums jamming out on ‘Vit Quai Don’, this is a record that veers in sonic style with gleeful abandon. ‘Marching In Time’ slaps and slides like Prince jamming with Jah Wobble, and ‘Bum Bum Krach (Hommage A Adele Sandrock)’ is a particularly leftfield drum solo punctuated by curious growls. You won’t hear another record that sounds quite like this one, that’s for sure.
